Why would a bathroom jacuzzi tub have no on/off switch?

just purchased a home and during the home inspection they checked the jacuzzi tub. When the water reached a certain level the jets automatically started. There is no visible on/off switch. Any idea why there would not be a switch on the top of the tub?
