Question about rose petals?

I'm going on vacation to Punta Cana for my anniversary and we have an in suite jacuzzi. I want to buy a few roses the night before we leave, pick the petals, and take them with me. I'm not sure what the best way would be to transport rose petals on a 12 hour flight without them getting crushed or torn or turning brown, etc. Any ideas?
