How to tell if my body is rejecting my piercings?

I got my hips pierced with bars about 3months ago although it takes 6-9months to fully heal they kinda bother me and sometimes look irritated around the whole piercing evn tho I use sea salt to clean em. How can I tell If they are growing out?
