Is my lip piercing infected?

i just had my lip piercing done 6 days ago and the swelling had gradually gone down but yesterday i forgot to rinse my mouth with salt water solution but i still brushed my teeth, and the swelling has gone up pretty big...i then tried to rinse with salt water but the swelling has not gone down much and white puss is around the bar but only comes out when i put pressure on it...is my lip infected??? :'(
